With a clear strategic vision for KMI’s brand portfolio, and as a result of the success of 2016’s show, 2017 marked the best Harrogate Home & Gift for our brands to date.
The stunning new stand inspired potential retailers, showcasing the full potential of each brand. Occupying a premium position to maximise footfall, the new stand enabled the team to present the new launches from Ted Baker, Orla Kiely and Mini Moderns to hundreds of independent retailers against an impactful, dedicated brand-led backdrop.
Flying the flag for British design, the team presented a strong gift offering with beautiful Ted Baker Christmas Gifts and vibrant Home Fragrance and Washbags from Orla Kiely and Mini Moderns. With global expansion underway for many of KMI’s brands, the importance of communicating their British heritage is paramount.
The team unveiled a sneak preview of the anticipated 2018 launch of Ted Baker’s new Home Fragrance collection, which was so well received that one retailer refused to leave the stand until a pre-order was taken!
KMI were delighted to be joined by Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire from Mini Moderns, who were on hand to give retailers a personal insight into the design behind their iconic products.
Orla’s distinctive prints were as popular as ever; the Fig Candle was even chosen to feature on the front cover of the Harrogate Show Directory.
The combination of the new stand, incredible product offering and team passion, led to the most successful show to date for KMI Brands with a 22% increase in sales and a 38% uplift in customers versus the previous year.
Lisa Stone, Commercial Manager comments: “Another fabulous year at Harrogate Home & Gift, with significant increases in sales and new doors opened across all brands, driven by a really stunning gift offering for AW17.”
