HR Manager

ABOUT YOU
You’re a self-starter with a “hands-on” attitude and a tangible love for HR.

You’ve already worked as a HR Generalist but are now looking to join a company that gives you the chance to achieve the best possible results. You’ve gained CIPD qualifications and are now looking to take the next step in your career.

The opportunity to enter into one of the most innovative and entrepreneurial businesses within the beauty and fragrance industry appeals and you’re looking to join a business where your success is celebrated and you’ll celebrate the success of your colleagues.

THE ROLE
We are looking for someone special.

We’re looking for someone to take a lead in managing and driving operational HR, helping to support our Leadership team and ultimately making sure that KMI Brands is not only a great place to work but a centre of excellence, brimming with the very best talent out there.

The person we need has a strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices and the ability to demonstrate experience in managing HR projects. You’re confident in advising managers and will using your excellent administrative skills and HR knowledge to produce reports and statics and work closely with internal stakeholders.

We already have high-level processes in place but we are always looking to improve ourselves and are wanting for you lead that.

You’re conscientious, polite and supportive of your team and your management. You’ll be a good problem-solver, unafraid of challenging the status quo to deliver results and comfortable asking for help when you need it. You’ll enjoy being part of a business where your success is celebrated and you’ll celebrate the success of your colleagues.

KMI Brands Ltd is characterised by down-to-earth individuals with a keen sense of family and a real desire to achieve the best possible results, and you’ll share this same ethos.

There’s a lot to this role but in brief, this position will be split into the following areas:

ADMINISTRATION
The true “nuts and bolts”, without which we’re lost. You need to have great attention to detail, and you also need to know what needs to be done. Maintaining personnel files, updating our Handbook, issuing contracts, setting up appraisals, keeping track of absences, managing any grievances and disciplinaries; all of the day to day tasks that keep us compliant and ticking along smoothly.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
We know our success comes from our people, and we’re working hard to attract the best. Once we’ve got them, our responsibility is to make the most of their skills. This is where you come in. You’ll work with our Leadership team to create and roll out a best in class management training scheme, which will be detailed enough to capture everyone in KMI Brands and give them a development plan to inspire them. Our managers have a very varied level of experience in management, so you’ll be their first port of call for questions and support around how to deal with their day to day team management. You’ll also work closely with the CEO and CFO on Leadership Development.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
You’ll be the first point of contact for any and all matters relating to employee relations, such as grievances and performance concerns so your interpersonal skills will be excellent and you’ll understand the importance of confidentiality, and will be able to align the needs of our employees with the needs of our business.

RECRUITMENT AND INDUCTION
You’ll find, assess and secure the best people, and make sure they are brought into KMI Brands consistently, carefully and with all the support they need to be really successful. We call this RIPS (Recruit, Induct, Perform, Succeed), which covers the full end-to-end experience of our people from when they first come into contact with our brand to the day they leave. You’ll manage the recruitment process for all staff, including liaising with external third parties where necessary and will oversee recruitment support including assisting with open days, recruitment drives, composition and placing of adverts, initial candidate screening and sourcing. When we’re actively recruiting for new staff, you’ll ensure managers are following proper process on the recruitment journey so that recruitment is handled in a timely and efficient manner and ensure hiring accuracy by supporting managers to identify any gaps in capability at the outset.
